Moving to Charleston With a Rented Truck

A car from the TG Car Rentals fleet in Charleston SC

Not every move needs a twenty-six foot box truck. Plenty of Charleston moves are a one bedroom, a cross-town shift, or the second trip after the movers have already gone. That middle case is badly served: too much for a sedan, not enough to justify a moving company.

The truck

The Chevrolet Silverado EV rents by the day like everything else on the lot rather than by the hour with a meter running. Five seats and a bed, so the people and the load go in one trip.

It's electric, which surprises people and mostly helps here. Charleston moves are short local runs, and a full-size truck on gas is expensive to drive around town for three days. Our truck rental page covers the rest.

Where it gets used

Daniel Island and North Charleston renters take it most, usually for a stretch of days rather than an afternoon. Relocations, move-ins, materials runs, and job sites.

It runs a three day minimum. That sounds long for a single load until you count the second trip you always end up making, plus the day the couch doesn't fit through the door.

Booking

The truck books by phone: call (843) 588-8326 with your dates and the rate and deposit get settled on the call. Renters need to be 21 or older, and pickup is at 1471 Folly Road.
